Quote wall: Brian Koppelman

On the bulletin board above my desk, I keep a handful of quotes that have taught me something, or that I hope to learn from.

Here's one:

Never let them tell you you're dead. You're not. You're alive. And you have way more control than you think. Go do the thing.

This is from Koppelman's podcast, The Moment, but as before, I can't recall which episode.

I like what he says about control. As a writer, I know there are few things in my control. But the one thing that's always squarely in my control is the work of writing. Doing "the thing," as Koppelman says.
